Park Updates
Friends of TC Jester Dog Park works alongside the Houston Parks and Recreation Department to help maintain and improve the park through volunteer efforts and community support.
Recent Improvements
- Installed water valve splitters and hoses with spay nozzles
- Added trash cans, bag dispensers, and hand sanitizer
- Added and redistributed decomposed granite
- Repaired damaged fencing and closed fence gaps
- Removed the sod berm at water fountain and relocated excess soil
- Improved drainage and reported maintenance needs
- Coordinated park improvements with Houston Parks and Recreation
Ongoing Park Care
- Picking up dog waste, litter, and debris
- Replacing garbage-can liners
- Restocking waste-bag dispensers
- Mowing and trimming grass and weeds
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Coordinating volunteer workdays
Current Priorities
- Continue improving high-traffic areas
- Monitor drainage after heavy rain
- Keep waste stations stocked
- Recruit volunteers for regular park cleanups
